A small practice
in Valletta
Founded in 2011, Studio Kavallier is a practice of architects and interior designers working across new build, renovation and heritage.
We are ten people who would rather know a project deeply than run twenty of them at once. Every scheme is led by a partner from first sketch to final snag. We draw by hand, we build models, and we spend as much time on the site as we do at the desk.

They are not a style. They are how we decide, on every project, when the easy answer and the right one part ways.
Site first
We start with what is already there: the orientation, the stone, the neighbours and the view. The building is an answer to the place, not an object dropped onto it.
Built to last
We detail for a fifty-year life, not a photograph. Honest materials, generous tolerances and finishes that improve rather than tire as the years pass.
Quiet by choice
Restraint is a decision, made again and again. We take things away until only what matters is left, so the rooms can do the talking.

Leads new build and heritage. Twenty-five years in practice across Malta and Sicily.

Runs the studio and the larger schemes. Sharp on planning, sharper on programme.

Detail and construction. The person on site when the drawings meet the stone.
Nina Farrugia
Materials, light and joinery. Makes the inside of a building worth living in.
