An intimate double a few steps from the courtyard, where the morning light arrives early and softly. A carved stone bedhead, a small writing table, and a bathroom in honey-coloured tadelakt.

A generous double set beneath the original barrel-vaulted ceiling, warm at every hour. A deep alcove bed, a pair of reading chairs, and shutters that fold back onto the old lane.

A calm, low-lit room off the cloister with a proper sitting corner and a pair of soft armchairs. The quietest room in the house, made for slow evenings and later mornings.

Our corner suite above the ramparts, with a separate sitting room and tall windows that open toward the walls. A tufted headboard, a marble bathroom, and the best light in the house at dusk.
